Stephenville man charged with impaired driving

KIPPENS  A 34-year-old Stephenville man was arrested on Thursday night and charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Kippens.

Cpl. John Butler said police received a report at 8:35 p.m. that there was a vehicle driving through Port au Port area that was “all over the road.”

Bay St. George RCMP officers located the vehicle in Kippens and made the stop, then administered an breath test, which they allege the driver failed.

The man was later released from custody on a promise to appear in court at a later date.

    Happy to see that this irresponsible person was caught before he injured or killed some innocent person. I'm disappointed that his name was not published. Here in Ontario the impaired person's name and city of residence is published...helps to deter those others that would get behind the wheel and DWI...
