He was one seat away from interim Premier Tom Marshall during Friday’s press conference, but Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Steve Kent has still not decided if he wants the job of the man who was sitting next to him.
Kent told media at the press conference in Corner Brook that he is still considering running for the leadership of the Progressive Conservative party, but has not decided to go for it just yet.
“I definitely have an interest in serving as premier of this province some day,” said Kent. “I enjoy the work I am doing now as a cabinet minister in this government and I still haven’t made a decision on the leadership race at this point in time.”
Another cabinet minister said to be interested was also at the same press conference, but Natural Resources Minister Derrick Dalley told the media Thursday he has also yet to decide to seek the leadership or not.
