There's little left of a cabin and pickup that were destroyed in an early morning fire in Gallants.
Police could not find evidence to what caused a fire that completely destroyed a cabin and a pickup in Gallants fire early Thursday.
Cpl. John Butler of the Bay St. George RCMP said the determination could not be made because the cabin was so badly destroyed by the blaze.
Bay St George RCMP received the call about the fire at 2:55 a.m. and when fire services from Corner Brook and the Marine Institute’s Safety and Emergency Response Training Centre in Stephenville arrived on scene the building had been completely destroyed. Nobody was in the cabin when the fire broke out but the owner told police he had been doing renovations earlier in the night and stayed at a nearby cabin.
