The MV Apollo is expected to arrive in Corner Brook at noon today.

The Labrador Marine Inc. ferry is scheduled to take over the Labrador service starting on Thursday.

The Labrador Marine website, www.labradormarine.com, says the ferry’s departure from the city will be announced and passengers who had been booked from St. Barbe will be contacted.

The Sir Robert Bond, which had been providing winter service out of the city, is scheduled to depart Blanc Sablon at 7 a.m. today.

It will be the last run on the service for the ferry which has been operated for the province by CAI Nunatsiavut.

Labrador Marine was recently awarded a two-year contract to provide year-round service on the Labrador-island run.

During the majority of the year that service will run between St. Barbe and Blanc Sablon, weather permitting, then switch to a Corner Brook to Blanc Sablon run in the winter months.
