Cable TV going up a quarter at hospitals

Patients wanting to watch cable television at Western Health’s hospitals in Corner Brook and Stephenville will have to pay an extra 25 cents per day for the amenity.

The health authority announced Friday that the daily rate for cable television in patient rooms at both Western Memorial Hospital Regional Hospital in Corner Brook and Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville is increasing from $9 to $9.25.

The increase comes into effect  July 4.

Other Western Health facilities have a different television service provider and are not impacted by the increase.
