It’s going to be a wet one out there all across western Newfoundland today with anywhere from five to 15 millimetres of rain expected to fall throughout the day and evening.
There is also a risk for thunder showers today for much of the coast, from Port aux Basques in the south up to the Daniel’s Harbour area in the north.
Temperatures should range anywhere from 16 to 20 C throughout the region today, while the winds should be in the vicinity of 20 kilometres per hour, with gusts of up to 50 kilometres per hour in some areas.
Showers should end late in the evening or overnight and most areas should see a mix of sun and cloud Wednesday. The temperatures will be on the rise, with the Deer Lake area possibly reaching as high as 29 C Wednesday.
