A 57-year-old Corner Brook man got more than he bargained for when he was caught allegedly stealing from a local business on Tuesday.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called to a report of a theft at a commercial property on O’Connell Drive at 4 p.m.
It is alleged that staff at the business saw the man stealing from the property. As a result of an investigation the man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, breach of probation and breach of the petty trespass act.
He was also charged with theft under $5,000, breach of probation and breach of the petty trespass act in relation to a similar allegation that occurred at the same location on Aug. 1.
The man was released on an undertaking to appear in provincial court on Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
