DEER LAKE The traffic lights at the Nicholsville Bridge have been fixed as of just before lunch time Friday.

The lights started malfunctioning early Thursday morning and officials were concerned they might have had to call in outside help to get them fixed because of the unknown cause.

But town superintendent Dave Thomas said after a public works electrician took a look, he discovered the lights simply needed to be reset.

The lights were installed in 2011 to help with the flow of traffic across the one-lane bridge.
