Members of the Corner Brook Fire Department, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and paramedics responded to a single vehicle accident on Griffin Drive, near the Ultramar oil storage tanks, close to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The lone female occupant was transported to Western Memorial Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.

I also think guard rails should be placed in this area....but saying this i also think people need to reduce their speed according to the road conditions.....maybe these 'accidents' would happen less often!

This stretch of road needs a gaurdrail. There have been multiple fatal accidents in this same location. Use the tax payers dollars for something that can save a life.

I really think that the city should install a guardrail along this stretch of road. It is quite an embankment and this is the second accident since August that I am aware of. The accident in August resulted in a fatality. The stretch of road in this area does get slippery in the winter and there is risk of sliding off and down the embankment.
