A woman phoned this week with a comment on politics.
She had this to say: “Before we vote in the next election we should ask every politician who has been in office if they have cheated on their expense reports.”
The caller says there have been many politicians caught in the last couple of years and she thinks we should see if they can answer correctly before we cast our ballots for them.
Another caller this week said she is upset the west coast has to fight for everything it gets — including a new regional hospital with proper facilities.
She says the provincial Tory government is finally coming around, but where were they before now?
“Let’s forget the politics of this and get on with it,” she said.

Pinksen Memorial Drive in Corner Brook has a message for those who felt the need to toss their drink cans, coffee cups and takeout containers out their car windows ... “the snow in the ditches is nearly melted and your litter is still there for you to pick up and dispose of properly
“What is wrong with these people?” he asked.
“There is garbage all along the street.
“It’s shameful,” he said.
