Take a stand

Dear Editor: A mother’s love is a blessing. I don’t know how anyone can call themselves a Christian if they support abortion.

I read a news article in The Western Star, April 25, from Portland, Ore., where they asked a firm to stop accepting fetal tissue from British Columbia which was being burned to generate power.

I believe that if a politician supports abortion and you vote for him, you are voting against the right to life.

You cannot go hemming and hawing about the most important issue on earth. You’re either against abortion ... or you support it.

You cannot live for whatever suits your purpose — you have to take a stand in life. Evil flourishes when good people do nothing.

Mike Basha, deciding what's best for all women everywhere. You don't get to tell any women what is best for her Mike, thankfully. They are quite capable of making that decision on their own merits. Not some antiquated belief system that is quickly falling by the wayside.

Well Mike, its like this. I am not a card carrying christian. I am a good person though. I believe not everyone on the planet is a christian and not every christian is against abortion. Your personal comments are biased and judgemental based on theology and because of that you support pro life. I am neither in favor of or against abortion. Freedom of choice is afforded most human beings on the planet and no one should declare he/she has all the answers 100% of the time... Church and state have to stay separated... As for politicians they should stay out of this public debate or BEWARE!!!!! That's my point of view....
