CORNERâ€ˆBROOK Tyler Wells started the scoring and ended the scoring at theâ€ˆPepsi Centre on Monday night.
The Investors Group player recorded three goals in total to help power his team to a 5-0 whitewashing of theâ€ˆWest Sideâ€ˆMonarchs in action from the Corner Brook Molson Menâ€™s Broomballâ€ˆLeague.
Pat Fewer and Lorne Pelley added the other markers in the triumph.
The opening goal â€” and eventual game-winner â€” came at 10:30 of the first half, on the power play, as Wells struck from Fewer and Lance Ereaut.
Fewer made it 2-0 at the 6:25-mark of the first, with Ereaut and Mike Hawco drawing the assists.
Shortly before the half ended, at 2:51, Pelley produced the teamâ€™s third goal, with Ereaut picking up yet another helper.
The second half was scoreless until the dying moments, with Wells notched his second tally of the night at 2:22. Pelley assisted on the play.
Wells completed the hat trick with 1:02 remaining. The assists went to Martin Mantey and Ryan Lewis.
Adam Tilley registered the shutout for the investors, his sixth of the campaign so far.
Ian Jones came away with the loss.
