PASADENA  The Pasadena Academy Falcons scored 67 points in the second half alone Tuesday night during a 102-56 decision over the Elwood High Lakers.

Nick Pilgrim paced the Pasdena attack with 27 points, as the Falcons won the opening contest of the Templeton Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament. An effort was made to get two games played early at other venues to alleviate scheduling woes later in the week.

Evan Blake and Mitch Snow put up 17 points apiece for the Falcons in the win, while Corey Manual had 13 and Daniel Soper scored 10.

Andrew Moss was the main threat for the Lakers, with an 18-point performance, while Matt Hiscock drained 11.

Tournament play at Templeton Academy gets underway Thursday with three games on the slate. Games will be played Friday and Sunday at the Templeton Academy gymnasium with the championship game slated for Saturday 6:30 p.m. with the top two teams battling for bragging rights.
