Rangers rally, but RiverDogz hang on

The Molson Luxury Limo Rangers made a game of it, but couldn’t quite crawl all the way back against the McHugh’s RiverDogz.

Mickey Lushman, Craig McCarthy, Gordo Scott and Mark Gillam all dented the twine for the RiverDogz in the first period as they held on to beat the Rangers 4-3 in Corner Brook Molson Ball Hockey League play Monday night at the Pepsi Centre.

Cory Russell, Mike Wight and Mark Gillis provided the offence for the Rangers, all in the second half.

Ricky Lushman earned the goaltending win over Adam Hicks.

Elsewhere, Brandon Hynes recorded a hat trick to help the Gros Morne Wildlife Museum Gulls to a 5-3 victory against Macavery’s.

Ben Murphy and Dylan Ellsworth also struck for the winning side.

Neil Woolfrey, Jake Milley and Josh Skinner replied in the loss.

Rob Roberts was the winning netminder, while Adam Hicks took the loss.

In other action, Glen Staples (2), Leslie Park and Greg Park all lit the lamp as AJ’s defeated the North Shore Tin Men 4-2.

Kyle Murrin and Kyle Blanchard put up the offence for the Tin Men.

Dale Wells picked up the win in goal over Peter Parsons.
