Hannah Bradbury scored three and Ashley Murdoch kept everything out as the Island Orthotics Curling Rangers cruised to a 12-0 triumph over the Shoppers West Hawks in Corner Brook Women’s Soccer League play from Wellington Street Sports Complex on Monday.
Hannah Connolly (2), Sam Meaney (2), Michelle Noseworthy (2), Emelie Foo, Ashley Preston and Jill Lahey did the rest of the damage for the victors.
The scoring started early in this one and never really stopped, as Foo made it a 1-0 game just three minutes into the contest.
Bradbury’s first of the night came at the 10-minute mark, before Meaney and Noseworthy both struck in the 14th minute to give the Rangers the 4-0 advantage.
Connolly bulged the twine in the 22nd minute, then Noseworthy added her second of the night in the 27th, which sent the Rangers into half-time up by six.
Bradbury’s second goal came early in the second half, in the 53rd minute, while Preston and Lahey both notched goals in the 60th minute to make it 9-0.
Connolly added another in the 63rd, Meaney struck in the 65th and Bradbury rounded out her hat trick in the 70th minute.
