CORNER BROOK Adam Canning added two more goose eggs to his young keeperâ€™s record.
Canning stood tall between the posts as Western recorded a dominant weekend sweep â€”outscoring the Meto United Football Club 27-0 in two games of provincial Under-14 boys soccer league play.
The Western side dumped the Metro representatives 15-0 Sunday morning with Andrew Antle scoring five times at Wellington Street Sports Complex.
Nicholas Pappas notched a three-goal game for the hometown boys.
Alex Deveau, Riley Chin, Colin Hulan, Brent Eason, Andrew Burden, Mickey Morgan and Michael Morgan added single markers to the scoring parade.
On Saturday, Brent Eason scored five times in support of Canning to lead Western to a 15-0 shellacking of the visiting side.
Mike Morgan notched a three-goal performance for the West, while single markers were supplied by Michael White, Andrew Antle, Evan Gallant and Nicholas Pappas.
Western, now riding a four-game winning streak, will hit the road for two games against Feildians this week in the capital city.
