The Western Regional School of Nursing’s bachelor of nursing fast-track program held its graduation and awards ceremony in Corner Brook Thursday.

Among the five graduates were multiple award winners, from left, Shantel Jones of Belize and Jillian Ryan of Corner Brook. Jones won the Pearson Education Canada (Addison-Wesley) Book Award for Excellence in the Care of Middle and Older Adults, along with the Western Health Fast Track Graduate Academic Award. Ryan, who was also class valedictorian, was the recipient of both the Elsevier Science Book Award for Excellence in Mental Health Nursing and the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Auxiliary Award.

Other graduates were: Drew Delaney from Stephenville Crossing, Michael MacPhee from Quispamis, New Brunswick, and Jennifer Knee from Corner Brook.
