CARBONEAR, NL — Carbonear firefighters and paramedics assisted a woman who fell on the beach in Crocker’s Cove Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters received a call at around 3:15 p.m. to head towards the beach, where a woman was on the ground and receiving some help from people in the area. Paramedics and firefighters attended to the woman prior to getting her on a stretcher and lifting her into the back of an ambulance. Approximately 20 firefighters responded to the call.

Fire Chief Brent Sweeney told The Compass the woman’s injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
