Accused murderer Philip Wayne Pynn was denied bail in Newfoundland Supreme Court this afternoon.
Pynn, 27, has been behind bars for almost two years.
He and Lyndon Malcolm Butler, 23, are jointly charged in connection with the death of Nick Winsor who was shot and killed at a house on Portugal Cove Road in St. John’s July 9, 2011.
Butler was released on bail last year.
Justice Alphonsus Faour announced his decision on bail at court today.
Pynn and Butler face a slew of charges, including second-degree murder and attempted murder.
They also face charges of attempted robbery, possessing a handgun, assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon while prohibited.
As well, Pynn faces counts of pointing a firearm, breaching probation and breaching conditions of two undertakings.
The two will be formally arraigned at a later date.
