STEPHENVILLE  High praise for the public works department of the town of Stephenville came from deputy mayor Mike Tobin at a town council meeting on Thursday.

While the praise came on a mild day, he complimented town staff for keeping up with the 160 centimetres of snow that fell during cooler days during a four-week period in late 2013, which included the Christmas holiday period.
