Corner Brook man charged with trespassing

A 57-year-old Corner Brook man arrested Thursday for trespassing at a business on Caribou Road ended up also being charged with the same offence from similar incident last week.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called to the business at 11:45 a.m. It was reported that the man was on the property while on a notice not to enter the property.

The man was also under investigation at the time for an alleged theft that occurred at a business on O’Connell Drive on Aug. 6.

He was charged with breach of probation and breach of the Petty Trespass Act for Thursday’s incident and theft under $5,000, breach of probation and breach of the Petty Trespass Act for the Aug. 6 incident.

The man was released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
