Beothuk Energy recently announced a partnership with offshore wind investors, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), to develop, own and operate wind farms in Atlantic Canada.

Lars Pedersen, CEO of Copenhagen Offshore Partners, and Phillip Hughes, chairman, NaiKun Wind Energy Group and Chairman, Kineticor Resources Inc., will speak about the project during a Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade luncheon Monday at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.

Copenhagen Infrastructure II has an agreement with Beothuk to jointly develop offshore wind farms supplying power to Atlantic Canada, starting with a 180-megawatt St. George’s Bay wind farm in Newfoundland.

The luncheon will begin at noon.
