It was a busy day at Woodward Motors parking lot in Deer Lake on Tuesday as Woodward teamed up with the Deer Lake Salvation Army family services in asking residents to drop off school supplies that will be given to children who need them for school in the fall.

There was a steady stream of people stopping by all day with school supplies to donate and to enjoy the barbecue that was also happening.

At the end of the day, donations will be tallied and passed over to the Salvation Army community services with Woodward Motors adding a matching amount of supplies to the truck.
