Emergency water outage to affect part of Curling area of Corner Brook

Starting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday a large section of the Curling area of the city will be without water.

Ina press release issued just after 4 p.m. the City of Corner Brook said the emergency outage is necessary to make repairs to the water distribution system.

The outage is expected to last for six to eight hours and will affect numbers 108A to 237 Curling Street, Petley Avenue, Leggo's Avenue, Sheppard's Avenue, O'Brien's Avenue, St. Aiden's Road, O'Rourke's Avenue, Byrne's Avenue, Water Street, St. Mary's Road and numbers 257, 261 and 291 Griffin Drive.

In conjunction with the repairs, Curling Street will be closed to through traffic from the intersection of Woodbine Avenue to the intersection of Petley Street.
