Three days of activities will be highlighted during the Kippens Winter Carnival 2018, which is also the first big event to celebrate the town’s 50th Anniversary of incorporation.

“Laugh, play, and have some fun because Kippens Winter Carnival 2018 has just begun!”

That’s the carnival slogan that Charlotte Delaney came up with for participants to go by during the events, taking place Feb. 9-11, which start with a carnival sock hop on Friday at 6 p.m. followed by an 8:30 p.m. Poker Run.

Saturday has a carnival breakfast from 9-11 a.m. followed by lots of other fun events going through to Sunday evening with the Seniors’ Dance at 8 p.m. closing out the carnival. The button draw with lots of prizes takes place during that event.
