Alexander Nathaniel Letiec, a 61 year-old North West River, Labrador man was released on conditions when he appeared in Stephenville provincial court today.

It was about 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday that members of the Bay St. George RCMP responded to a disturbance on Gordon Crescent in Stephenville and arrested Letiec and charged him with assault, uttering threats and mischief.

His release conditions include that he keep the peace and be of good behaviour, stay away from the victim, refrain from being in the company of anyone with a criminal record, abstain from alcohol and present himself to the door on request by police.
