A second man has been charged in the death of a Newfoundland man who was killed in Fort McMurrary in June.
Bernard Corrigan, 39, a resident of Fort McMurray, has been arrested by police in Fort McMurray and charged with first-degree murder in the death of John Bradley Healey.
Healey was originally from Clarenville, but was living in Fort McMurray. The 36-year-old’s body was found on an access road in Fort McMurray on June 13.
An autopsy revealed Healey was killed intentionally, police stated in late August when they announced first-degree murder charges against Trevor Kirke Bown of Fort McMurray.
Corrigan is being held in police custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Fort McMurray Monday morning.
The investigation is ongoing, Wood Buffalo RCMP stated in a news release.
