Stephenville council approves items under permits and municipal plan

The Stephenville town council approved six items under permits and municipal plan during its regular general meeting on Thursday.

Ann Green — permit to do exterior and interior renovations to the building at 28 Colonial Ave. to convert it into a duplex.

SNC Lavalin Inc. — a permit to change the ownership of the existing business at 141-147 Main St. from Bae Newplan to SNC-Lavalin Inc.

Under the authority of Section 23 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000 — town council of Stephenville approves a development regulation amendment to make a change that land abutting both sides of Route 460-11 (Cold Brook Road) is rezoned from rural to rural residential.

Resolution – approved to the Town of Stephenville Municipal Plan Amendment that Stephenville future land use Map 4 is amended to include land abutting both sides of Route 460-11 (Cold Brook Rd.) is rezoned from rural to rural residential.

Under the authority of Section 16 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000 — town council of Stephenville adopts the Town of Stephenville development regulations to add campground to the list of discretionary use class in the open space recreation zone.

Amendment — that the development regulation 2014 be amended to remove the minimum and maximum building line setback and increase the rural residential zone in Cold Brook.
