Eric Archibald Simmons

Hampden, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Archibald Simmons announce his passing on Friday, February 2, 2018 in Hampden in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Eva (nee Brace); daughter Sheila Simmons; son Derek (Rosemarie) Simmons; daughter-in-law Denise Simmons; grandchildren: Stephanie (Quinton) Simms, Adam Simmons (Tatina), Andrew Simmons (Nancy), Jennifer Simmons and Ashley Simmons; great-grandchildren: Xander Simmons, Noah Simmons and Eric Simms; brother Carl (Donna) Simmons; sisters: Marion Strong, Julie Upwards and Pearl Knight; sisters-in-law: Jean Simmons, Edna (Carl) Brett, Marion Brace and Dulcie Davila; brothers-in-law: Max Brace and Leroy (Verna) Brace; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Wade Simmons, parents Lillian and Archibald Simmons, brothers Bert (Bonnie) Simmons, Woodrow (Marion) Simmons and Ed Simmons, sister Valma Simmons. A Private family visitation will be held with cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. from The Epiphany Anglican Church in Hampden with Rev. David Torraville officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hampden.
