Some 75 skiers took part in the Outfitters Experience Adventure 47th Annual Newfoundland and Labrador Cross Country Ski Marathon held at Whaleback Nordic Ski Club in Stephenville on Saturday.
The field consisted of a number of different division, from the 42 km seniors and master men’s and woman’s division, junior male 21 km, junior female 12 km, jackrabbit 12 km, seniors and veterans 21 km, cruisers recreational 12 km to the active living recreational 7 km.
With temperatures at race time showing about plus four with mostly sunny conditions, there were lots of smiles on the faces of the skiers, especially those in the recreational divisions.
