The major midget division’s Dennis GM Western Kings kicked off their tournament on Thursday afternoon with a 3-2 win over Cape Breton Unionized Tradesmen.
After falling behind 2-0 on goals from Thomas Simon and Damon Johnson, the Kings roared back with three unanswered goals — two by Andrew Antle, and one from Ryan Roche — to earn the victory.
Bradley Power was the winning netminder over Cody Smith.

In the major bantam division, the Kings also got off on the right foot, with a convincing 5-1 triumph over the Bedford Barons in their opener on Wednesday.
Mark Hillier (2), Isaiah Caines, Lucas Robinson and Riley Simms did the damage on the scoreboard in the win.
Luke MacLean had the lone Barons goal.
Lucas Park took the win in net over Jonathan Pickrem.
The major bantam Kings dropped a 4-3 decision to the Landworks Gulls later Thursday night.
Connor McNamara, Logan Carruthers, Cameron McDonald and Blake Chase scored for the Gulls.
Hillier, Jesse Hickey and Jonathan Walsh put up the offence for the Kings.
