Ryan Meade is making a push for the league’s scoring crown.

The shifty pivot collected two goals and two assists to lead the Corner Brook Royals to a 6-0 victory over the Port aux Basques Mariners Saturday night at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.

The Royals, with Meade scoring three goals, eked out a 5-2 win over the Mariners Friday night at the Bruce II Sports Centre in Port aux Basques.

Ryan McMackin scored two goals for the Royals, while Ian Pilgrim had a goal and an assist as the Royals held a 5-0 advantage after 40 minutes of hockey.

Tommy Ryan had the other goal for the Royals.

Brad Power picked up the shutout for the Royals. He had a shutout against the Mariners two weeks ago in Port aux Basques as he continues to shine as part of the goaltending trio with Brad Dyke and Tyler Gardner also seeing time in the crease this season.

The Royals will be back in action Friday night when they host the first-place Deer Lake Red Wings 8 p.m. at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
