If you put in the work the results will surely follow.

That’s certainly the case for the winners at the 2018 Veitch Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre Fall 15K Run held Sunday in Corner Brook.

Stephen Adams of Massey Drive crossed the finish line in 57 minutes and 30.3 seconds to finish first overall in the 15-kilometre event hosted by the Corner Brook Running Club.

Nancy Jewer of Corner Brook, seventh overall in a field of 17 runners, was the fastest female on the course with a final clocking of one hour, 16 minutes and 48.6 seconds.

Jewer and Adams are among the fastest long-distance runners in the city and familiar faces at races driven by the Corner Brook Running Club.

Darren Kaulback, the man who ran 365 days straight leading into the summer running schedule, claimed second place overall with a time of 58 minutes and 46.6 seconds and Aubrey Sanders — a seasoned runner who has worn the Maple Leaf in his running life — nabbed third place with a time of 1:05:36.6.

The next event for the Corner Brook Running Club is the Brothers & Associates Fall Classic Sept. 30 in Corner Book where runners will have the option to run 5-km, 10-km and half-marathon distances to test their mettle.
