The new National Basketball League of Canada franchise coming to St. John’s will be known as the Edge.

The team announced its name and revealed its logo in a ceremony at MacDonald Drive Junior High this morning in the province’s capital.

“I truly believe you’re going to see some of the best athletes in the world run and down this court,” Edge head coach John Graham told the crowd gathered for the event.

Tickets for the inaugural season go on sale noon Friday at the Mile One Centre box office.
