The West Side Monarchs edged the Flynn's Pub Tactics FC 5-4 in penalty kicks to punch their ticket to the Corner Brook Molson Senior Men's Soccer League championship game on Wednesday night at Wellington Street Sports Complex.

Ryan Dawe scored three times in regulation, and also netted the clincher in the shootout for the Monarchs in the win.

In other action, the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers bounced Clancy’s Pub from the playoffs on the strength of a 2-1 win at George (Daddy) Dawe Memorial Pitch.

The Tactics will now tangle with the Rangers on Monday night with the other berth in the final on the line. The championship game takes place on Saturday, August 27.
