Western Warriors go 2-2 over the weekend in AAA female bantam hockey league play

A 6-0 win on Sunday over the Central IcePak put a nice cap on a weekend of action for the Western Warriors of the Newfoundland and Labrador AAA Female Bantam Hockey League.

Cathy Morgan and Emma Joan Major both scored twice in the win, with Jessica Park recording the shutout between the pipes.

Alisha Badcock and Gia Caul added single markers for the victors.

Jocelyn Penney suffered the defeat at the other end of the ice.

Earlier in the day, the Warriors fell 3-1 to the TriPen Ice.

Brooke Lennon, Kaitlyn Pike and Mackenzie Balsom did the damage for the Ice.

Kendal Hickey picked up the lone goal in the losing cause.

Rachel Dean outdueled Mackenzie Hynes in net.

On Saturday, downed TriPen 3-1, with Morgan scoring twice in the victory.

Major also found the back of the net in the win, which was backstopped by Hynes.

Sara Thorne replied for the Ice.

Hayley Bishop took the loss.

In their other game, Western fell 4-2 to Eastern thanks to a pair of goals from Ella Hogan.

Rachel Abbott and Katie Parsons did the rest of the damage.

Morgan popped home a pair of goals in the loss.

Sara Parsons earned the goaltending win over Park.

Other scores from the weekend were: Central 1, TriPen 1; Eastern 2, Central 0; Eastern 4, TriPen 0; and Eastern 3, Central 2.
